Discussion > Hello to our Brothers and Sisters at the World Centre!

For those lovely souls who serve at the World Centre this website serves a great purpose to gay , lesbian , and transgendered Baha'is as well as our straight friends who support us. I think it is safe to say I can speak for Barb and for others who post here, that we are doing so in the spirit of "unity in diversity" , to not cause strife in the Baha'i Community , but to bring forth dialogue and understanding of what it means to be a gay, lesbian, or transgendered person in the Most Great Cause. There is much pain we suffer , but by sharing our stories we can help educate the Administrative Order, Baha'i Communities , and Baha'i individuals. There have been many wrongs done to gay people in our communities such as shunning , back bitting, prejudiced comments and actions , as well as double standards applied to us in regards to removing our Administrative Rights. We as a religious community can learn from our past mistakes. We as openly gay , lesbian, and transgendered Baha'is are waiting in the wings to help the Cause better understand who we are and what we have to offer.
